Saturday was our first show in 3 months. It also marked the first show with our new drummer Danny.

With only having 8 practices together, there were a few nerves in the air. However we were incredibly happy with how the show went…and it seemed the crowd agreed. We are now looking forward to playing the other shows we have booked!

Our new CD will be available by the end of the week, and new merch will follow shortly after!

Say hello to Danny, our new beast behind the drums!

Howdy Tumblr, I thought it was about time we posted an update. So here it is:

As you probably heard from our last update/posts on Facebook we now have a new drummer. We had our first practice with Danny last week which went really really well.

So now the family is complete once again, and for the next month or so we are going to be practicing a lot to get ready for our first set of shows we have booked. We will announce these when we are allowed!

We are also getting some new promo shots done with our good friend Dominic Gregory, which should be online over the next few weeks.

Thats it for now. Onwards and upwards. We can’t wait to get out playing shows again.

Until now we have kept any news of this quiet until we had it all sorted out, apologies for the lack of updates etc recently.

Dave decided to leave the band a few weeks ago to further his education. A decision which we all support and wish him the best. There are no negative feelings between us and we will remain good friends.

We set on the hunt for a new drummer straight away, in an attempt to lose as little momentum as possible and get back to playing shows as soon as possible.

Last night we had our first practice with new drummer, Danny Wood. It went exceptionally well and we were all very happy. Danny’s style and skill fits in great with what we’re doing, and his varying influences will hopefully bring some new ideas and directions to the band. Danny is now a part of the MTYEK family, and you’ll be seeing a lot more of us over 2011.

Thanks for sticking with us guys, we really appreciate it!

P.S. There are now 3 Danny’s in the band, handle that!!!

Hello Everyone!

We are no longer playing the Hop this Friday (25th March)

This is due to a complete lack of communication from certain bands with ourselves and the promoter. It has also come to our attention that one of these bands has asked for us to be removed from the show if we do not sell a certain amount of tickets. 

This is NOT about any promoter connected with the Hop, or the venue itself, and not a reflection on one particular band. Some bands work like that, we don’t. We do not play shows to pay other bands wages, we play them because we love music. This may seem like a strange reason to cancel a show, but we do not wish to fund other bands by pushing tickets on our fans to watch us play a 20 minute opening set, simply to provide another band with an audience.

We will see you soon Wakefield, hopefully on a Bearfoot Promotions show.

We spent last weekend in Peak Studio’s in Bradford recording our new EP. We’ve only heard the unmixed songs so far, but they sound huge! Anyone who wants to get the best out of their band, I advise you get in touch with Roni Sxpakowski.

The songs will be available very soon!

Well, that’s Christmas over for another year. But WAIT!

We’re recording our new EP at the end of January with Roni Szpakowski, and you’ll be able to get your ears round it by mid to late February!

2010 was our first full year as a band, and what a year it’s been!

We started the year by releasing our debut CD, which received a better response than we could have ever imagined. We knew we loved what we were doing, but to receive positive feedback/reviews from others was an awesome feeling. So a huge thanks to everyone who checked us out/bought a CD.

We also had the pleasure of sharing the stage with many great bands, to whom we are so grateful. For example; Not Advised, All Forgotten, There For Tomorrow, Straight Lines and many more! Another thanks to anyone who has put us on, with a special thank you to JD for helping us out!

We end the year writing for our new EP, which we are recording at the end of January at Peak Studios. We couldn’t be more excited to get these new songs recorded and to you to hear them! Hopefully the new EP should be out in February.

That’s it for now. Cheers guys, we’ve had a blast in 2010, lets hope 2011 proves to be even better.
